Excellent! Thanks adawson; I love 'work-in-progress' photographs of local ventures, as I'm sure do many others. :)

Good for competition and jobs in the area I suppose, but I just want one of the cheap as chips, no frills, no contract, open 24/7 places to open in Stafford, not more of the same as what we have already.....

Well one of the things Steve (the owner) mentioned to me is he wanted to be different, more family run. He pointed out how you can go to a lot of gyms and your just number's & ignored.

He wants to give people advise and generally be a lot more friendly. He also didn't want ques, he wanted a large open gym with lots of equipment so at any peak time people are not waiting for items. I don't think there's a gym as big as this in Stafford.

I forgot to mention the website is now live with a few basic bits of information. More will be added in the coming weeks/months.

The membership section has a list of the normal prices. I'd imagine there will be a few special offers available at the reception when they first open, but don't quote me on that.

It's good to see local businesses start up but i'll wait til I know what i'll get until I comit myself to anything. I think the opening hours are exactly the same as Gym & Tonic so theres no extra alternative timewise. The site offers membership at a reduced rate for ealy birds but the place isn't built yet? And the claims to never have to queue for equipment, i find puzzling. Does that mean numbers will be limited because you can have that scenario in any busy gym or is the place going to have loads of stations?

Opening hours should be subject to change as they get more staff and have been running a while, but as it stands it will be the time stated.

Yes this is based on when it opens. At this point the aim is for a December opening.

Yes, multiple stations and equipment, should cope with any peak period.

Things are progressing fast now. Were looking at a late December opening... in time January sign ups to co-inside with new year resolutions :)

here are some more shots.

Ceiling and beams painted. Plaster board on the breeze blocks.

Mens changing room walls below upper cardio area. Safety wall for upper level, just over hip high.

Reception area, door/corner being kocked out.

Reception area.

Forgot to get a snap of the studio/class room upstairs and the cardio area. I'll get it next time, end of the week maybe.

All the cars at the Rangers game had flyers posted on them yesterday with "Opening Soon". I'm guessing it's not that imminent though?

The plan is for them to have an opening day on the 7th January 2012. I'll try confirm and get some picture as soon as I can.

I can now confirm the opening day will be on the 7th January at 7pm. It will possibly be open sooner for a look around but if you arrive at 7pm I can guarantee entry.

Some new photos of the finished place would be great. I had a quick gander around the website but couldn't see any on there. Certainly worth putting some up on there as well as here if possible. :)

Its still not totally complete yet, hence why I have been holding off. Although I've been assured the whole place will be done by Saturday.

Nice article in the Express and Star on Wednesday that declined to mention where the gym was or give any contact details.
