New Gym Opening - LS Fitness (fka LifeStyle Fitness)

We just had a visit from the owner today, bringing some news. Although the place is pretty much ready to go, they are missing something pretty vital, the gym equipment.

Delivery of the machines, weights and flooring for main area was due to be installed Saturday ready for opening. Unfortunately he has been contacted by the supplier last night that the equipment on order from Life Fitness (http://www.lifefitness.co.uk) which is on import from the US has been delayed last minute, due to Stock issues.

LS Fitness has been told by the representative that the equipment and flooring will be coming at the very latest on the 23rd of January. Stay tuned though because as soon as LS Fitness has the equipment they will open.

LS Fitness sends there apologies for this inconvenience and welcomes anyone to come have a look around on Saturday the 7th January. LS Fitness has managed to get some demo equipment to show everyone when visiting.

Here's an update on the photos. Everywhere is pretty much done now excluding the flooring in the main area and obviously the equipment which has unfortunately been delayed.

I've also been informed classes for Zumba, Body Combat, Spinning and Circuits are being arranged for the Studio room.

Unfortunately as many of you are aware, LS Fitness has had some delays with opening and are now facing further delays.

Due to the current economic climate LS Fitness have had issues with the supplier. We are now looking to source the equipment for the gym ASAP from a new vendor.

LS Fitness would like to apologies profusely for these delays, the building is now ready and as soon as we get our equipment we will be opening. LS Fitness will keep you posted over the coming weeks.

Very sad news, must be very annoying for all involved. Keep up the good work with the updates though. I'm sure everyone on the forum can understand the bad news when they are kept up to date.

A big shame considering Gyms do a lot of their business in January with New Year resloutions etc. Lets hope its up and running in time for those wanting to get ready for their summer holidays (ie Feb instead of Jan).

Thats not good... I'm gutted for LS Fitness. A few of us have been waiting for it to open so we can have a look around, it looks like a lot of money and work has gone into the building so far, I hope they manage to get something sorted soon, I really do feel for them, having invested so much into the building only to then have this sort of problem is not a nice situation to be in...

- Please keep us updated about their situation, how they are getting on and any developments or news.

Congratulations - you are nearly there. the opening of any business nevers sticks to the old Gantt chart so Im sure that it will be a success when you eventually open.

So many jobs to do - I can comfortably write Insurance for gyms if this is a job you havent crossed off the list yet. Please get in touch if you would like some advice.

Great news, LS Fitness has managed to solve the problem related with old supplier. Flooring is now down and half the equipment delivered. The rest is coming soon!

Are disabled people welcome?
I wouldn't buy a gym membership due to the unpredictability of my illness. But I'd love to go to a gym but I would probably need guidence and its more.. make my muscles work than get them all fit and muscley... I feel like Gym and Tonic doesn't welcome a sort like me... that and when I sent an enquiry it was ignored. Lol.

I hope that makes sense...!
