Its not a regular thing I just havent seen the Transcoder error message before. If you can suggest another mobile phone browser that I can download for an old LGt300 that displays pages as web pages not as mobile/single column pages, I would be very happy to give them a go. I have already tried UC Browser and Snaptu but have found Opera to be the best so far.

I believe the 'Remember me' box when logging-in is unchecked by default; I'll see if I can swap this, as I suspect most people would prefer to stay logged-in (especially in the mobile view, which does away with the sidebar). Obviously, the option to Log Out will remain, at the top-right as always.

It wasn't that. It was some dodgy cookie-fettler I was playing with that kept zapping the cookies from the site. I've got rid now.

ah right - soz, i just assumed that you were using a blackberry/android phone or something! i didn't realise you had an older handset with limited browser options
