It did.Did the new Next store open a day early??? Read some comments on FB that it was open yesterday...
They told the missus they were "good to go" (my words) a day earlier than planned, so thought "why not"?So they spend time and money on advertising, getting people to expect a grand opening... and then open a day early? What an anti-climax and a marketing shambles.
Anyone know why the change?
I was surprised to see that it was scheduled to open the day after a Bank Holiday as opening on a Bank Holiday would make a lot more sense.
In the big scheme of things, the extra cost on wages is a pittance. As for things going wrong, it will happen on any opening day whether or not the shop is busy or quiet.but potentially more expensive if you're paying your staff extra for a bank holiday - and the last thing you want is a having packed shop and things go wrong.
I guess some people will complain because they wanted to be the first a queue from 4am !
The day I get up early or queue to get into any shop is the day I shoot myself!
I was planning to pop in later this afternoon as I need to go to the retail park anyway. I was just curious as to why the change. Seems really poor planning - obviously taking tips from the other retail development!

so when is the "now smaller" next closing ??
I do not know why there was a change, however I think it is all very very unimportant......
Indeed they do, and I think that is important....It is. But then many things are and people still talk about them...
