It's fine to disagree, but how about not being rude.
Armed, I hope. Can we then install a border checkpoint at the High House,
Can't even speak posh, some of 'em.Armed, I hope.
Don't want any of them bloody northerners in the nice bit taking our jobs and homes...

Innit!North end massive gonna breach your borders, word.
If you want to think that then fine... Personally I think all will be fine... People will go to both, especially as a large of people will still pass through as they'll still be parking in the Wickes car park to avoid the charges. We're gonna have 2 town centres aren't we . The northern one that will be full of charity and pound shops centred on Sports Direct and it's environs, matching the poor and working class demographic of the north end of Stafford, and the south town centre, focused on the new shopping centre which reflects the affluent demographics of the south of town. I'd like this north town to gain independance from the south myself. @littleme might join my new pound oriented fiefdo

It's never taken me anything like as long as 10 mind.On the basis it takes about 10 mins to walk from one end of the shopping bit of town to the other this is a very silly conversation indeed.

It took about five minutes to walk from the run down Bull Ring in the Pallasades to what was a beautiful new shopping complex called the Pavilions. 29 years later and after a huge investment in the Bull Ring, the Pavilions partially closed to allow the building of a new Primark. If you have ever been to Brum in the past couple of years, the Pavilions has been largely empty. I don't think it's silly at all. If it can happen in a major city, it can happen to a little parochial town like Stafford. On the basis it takes about 10 mins to walk from one end of the shopping bit of town to the other this is a very silly conversation indeed.
I think it may be you....I know plenty of people (myself included) who are on the south of the town and walk through to get to the north end....Anyone from south Stafford gonna park at Wickes car park and then shop in the new shopping centre? Nah, thought not! Pretty unlikely that southenders will make much effort in my opinion to visit a town dying on it's arse when all the shops they will need will be in the new centre. Maybe it's just me and they'll be some massive resurgence in our town centre's popularity once all the shops have moved to the new town centre :S
Tru dat!North end massive gonna breach your borders, word.
Never mind all this north and south action, roll on the day when we can walk flat out from the traffic jam at Doxey to the traffic jam at Halfords, all for a few million quid.
Because nobody wants to go there...Doxey doesn't do traffic jams
