I meant our Mrs Jade-clothings shop! I used walk past thinking how 'glam' it all looked on the rails.
I only went in a few times, but I did often stand and stare lovingly at a pair of peach & gold Jimmy Choos that she had in the window....don't know where on earth I thought I was going to wear them though!

Isn't it a shame that Jade-clothing is no longer with us?

Aw thanks Glam - I miss it too :(
I popped into Roma for the last time on my day off on Tuesday and she barely had anything left - still a few evening gowns on the back rail then though. I managed to find a nice pair of shorts for £1. we had a nice chat and she was really sad to be closing, she has been there 46 years - nearly as long as I've been alive!! So sad to see her go.

The spangly new Stafford Department Store (ie the Co-op, as it will no doubt continue to be referred to as) opens tomorrow - whether this information is of any use i have no idea.

Strange chaps, women...

Well after trawling round everywhere.....Stafford, Hanley, Birmingham, I went to Solihull.

What a fabulous place to shop, and I don't even like shopping.

Found something in Phase Eight. Silver and sparkly.

I have a similar problem....going for a meal tomorrow night but realised I have NOTHING to wear. :( I appear to only have 2 going out tops.....ones too clingy & the other is less clingy but too low cut. Agh. Not happy.

Did you find anything to wear for your night out?

The dress I bought went back. I was told that I looked like a dowager countess. Not the look I had in mind.

Have now bought a red one from a shop in the Bullring. Its very Beyonce, much more the look I wanted to achieve.

No I didn't :( I went with the too low top & festered myself in a long dangly necklace, fortunately the too low top didn't seem as low as I thought... Next quest is the end of next month when we've been invited to a Christmas do at the Post house.....smart dress only.....I own nothing smart as after becoming all diabetic I went up a size....& in a hissy fit I gave away all my nice/smart/going out clothes...

Looks like I may have to buy something :( Hate shopping!

I would start looking now then....there is plenty in the new Dept store to choose from.

I hate shopping but I love dresses!

Dresses hate me, I look so slutty!

There's another thing.......eldest son appears to be getting married a lot sooner than I thought.....what do I wear to that?! Don't think I'm ready for Barbara Powell yet, even Wallis seems a bit too grown up for me!

e!

Surely not!

But there are dresses and there are dresses. Just don't go choosing the slutty ones.
Debenhams have a lovely selection of dresses and at the moment all the gorgeous Christmas glitzy dresses are out.

You go girl......

I do not possess a single dress or skirt.

Babe, you need to introduce some glamour into your life. What's it all for if we can't slip on the heels and glam up?

Now dont get me wrong, I am Mrs scruffy at home. Housework, gardening, walking dogs etc....all in jeans and fleeces. But going out.......it's just simply lovely to dress up and feel a bit special.

Try it....you might like it.
Or not, as the case may be.

But why?

I am perplexed.
I love staying in myself, 6 o clock, pyjamas on, put the fire on, tv or good book. Bliss.

But you must have the odd night out surely?
Pub quiz, cinema, drink in a pub, meal at a friends house, theatre, pub meal, .....nothing?
