    True.

But then increase council tax so everyone pays their share rather than penalise those patronising businesses in Stafford or who have garden waste.

Thats great, wish I had known a couple of days ago, I had 2 young lads ask where they could 'long stay park' in Stafford apart from the station & Sainsbury's (both full), but I didn't have a clue - thanks @Lucy

Mmm, not the clearest picture, but I have discovered this sign on Madford, on the wall of the steps by the Pointy Shed at the northern end of the SGI building. It doesn't seem to have any mention of a "you shall not leave the site on foot" clause, yet.

I've not noticed anything in this style on there before, but I've had to start parking in different places since 'my spot' was destroyed for the WAR effort.

Can't say that I know the driver quite as intimately as you seem to...

At least it wasn't a motorhome.

Not to mention illegal. Unless he has affixed reflectors to the side of his car. Then it's fine :D

Hmm, wonder why I'm immediately assuming it's a man? :hmm:

The rear of the leisure centre car park on Lammascote Road is closed until the weekend due to the election, great big tent there at the moment

Now you're just being silly. Once she's elected they won't set foot in Stafford.

What happened to these increases? I parked on Doxey Road (Sainsbury's) car park last week and it was still the old rate, plus the Borough Council's website shows the 'old' rates, with no evening or Sunday charges. https://www.staffordbc.gov.uk/doxey-road-short-stay-car-park-stafford

Does the Borough Council know what it is doing? (don't answer that)

Although it's been widely published in local newspapers, and there are signs posted next to the parking meters, it's not happened yet. Doxy Rd carpark will be free on the afternoon of 25th January, when I believe the council will be updating the machines to accept the new charges. So (possibly) the new charges will start on the 26th.
