The "no return in 1 hour" rule is the most stupid one. Suppose you leave the car park then realise you've forgotten to buy something or lost something in the store. You go back in and boom, £70 fine.

It’s always been a bit unclear as to whether the no return rule applies if you return within the original stay window or not…

I suspect it's happened more than once, but I remember someone having to argue his way out of a charge, having returned with a faulty TV that he had just bought and tried when he got it home...
