spent some time on this one and the culprit could simply be the loose manhole cover.....

Not sure if it's a pothole, or a particularly badly placed and sunken manhole cover...
But on the bridge on the Common Road... eek. I swear it'll of knackered my cars suspension by the end of the week.

My wife drives down Corporation Street every day and then in to St George's Hospital and the roads round there are terrible. Had to have another new tyre today - must be the potholed roads causing it!

I'll try have a look on my way to work also... however, this is reliant on no stupid boy racers trying to force me to speed up, as the situation is most days along that road...

Just got back from a stroll over the bridge, if the offending pot-hole is on the incline towards town then it's been filled in ........

Yes, by sheer coincidence, when I left for work the day I posted it was still there and I saw it properly... however when I was coming home (about 11:30pm) I went very slowly to avoid it... and found it'd been filled in. Some further down on the Common Road (headed towards Beaconside) have been filled in as well.

Nah,managed to look down on Friday before I da dummed and its the channeling towards the manhole so cant avoid going over it as it covers a fair bit of the lane. Just gonna have to turn the music up louder to time it with the da dum!

Still lots around I guess it will take until next winter. I was wondering if we should havea competition for the deepest and the biggest ?

There's a couple before the bend that are tyre wreckers. I'm off on a course for a week, but I hope once I get back on Friday they'll be gone.

Isn't there an old saying that goes something like - a hard winter is followed by a hard summer? If so, the roads will be in a reet state and I'll be taking bets on skinny folks disappearing into cracks! Ooh er!

Returned to this today and spent at least an hour checking it out, now from the pizza shop to the grapes i counted 27 indentations to the road surface that could be deemed 'in need of repair' and the majority of these are town-bound the da-dum da-dum noises are happening in four or five parts of the road, again all town-bound........
