There will be a series of qualifying questions which can only be answered by basil. The fries will be held in a tamper-proof glass case until his identity has been verified beyond possible doubt.

Yeah I have been told he's got a job somewhere else now.
Sounds a bit like the Nags Head when it came close to having its license pulled a couple of weeks ago. Seems the premises superviser changes every day or so there.

Went in the Railway the other night. Nice to see the place busy again! I'm not sure about the retina burning energy saving bulbs in the snug though. It was like being in Asda!! :eek:

fortnightly quiz is this Sunday from 7pm, £1 entry per person, teams of 6 max.

Soup/stew served afterwards.

Prize awarded for silliest answer as well as winning team gets a prize.

New quarterly prize being introduced this week...


If anyone does attend the quizzes and wants to make any suggestions, all are welcome


p.s. if you are lucky there may well be a game of sniper darts after..
