3 new businesses to the town. At a cost of at least an additional half a dozen empty shops - m&s, new look, river island, frankie & Bennie, vision express and more - all big stores that have little chance of being taken (unless you count the temporary pseudo-IKEA place camping out in river island).
The thought had crossed my mind....
Anyone know when the other restaurants are due?

Since when has The Hougj retail park been "within town"? It's a considerably longer walk than riverside!
Theres a growing population who park at the Hough and then walk into town to their workplace....I agree, but certainly walkable. I work in town and at least once a month take a wander up there on my lunch break.
Judging by the numbers in town on what was a miserable Tuesday yesterday, weather-wise, most people agree with you, in the real world.I for one believe that the Riverside development shows a vote of confidence in Stafford and will certainly make a number of others invest here in the future, even if it doesn't happen over night.
How long till the owners get fed up of folk taking up spaces and get some parking company in as they have done on madford ?Theres a growing population who park at the Hough and then walk into town to their workplace....
