That may well be the bottom line for Lord Stafford. A world class facility with a pitch as good as any, will put Stafford on the sporting map for many years to come. Whilst it may never host a Five Nations or whatever championship, it could conceivably host training facilities for any visitors to our shores.
At a personal level, I still believe the majority of objections to this development are mimbyistic. The benefits to our society which (the numbers of young people who are being taught teamwork and leadership skills every week at) the Rugby Club brings to Stafford are immense, and the better facilities on offer at the new development can only do good.
Every single one of your points would apply to any new Rugby club, in ANY location. You clearly don't read the thread so let me repeat, no-one is against the Rugby club, just the Rugby Club building on this location. What I can categoically say is that if this plan does go ahead there will be ALOT of people who will despise the Rugby club.
