I ♥ cryptic crosswords
Spent the morning patching my shed, in the glorious sunshine, now sitting at the
comp with a fan blowing air on my wet naked back, I have a spray bottle of water
that I give my self a quick burst of, so deliciously cool, and a sip of cranberry juice
with loads of ice in, I will have a nice cool bath later and return to the internet in
just my underpants.

Managed 31.4c at around 5pm, It's still 28c here at 9:30pm. I would like a good thunderstorm to cool it down a bit.

I am loving the sun.

After all the rubbish weather we have had, now that summer has arrived people start complaining about how hot it is.

It can stay like this until Sept for me please.

I don't lie in the sun or even need to be out in it.
I just like sunny days.

I couldn't agree more, but there's sunny days that make me smile and feel great, and there's sunny days that are far too muggy, make me sweat and stink and cause bad moods. For me, the last 2 days have definitely been the latter.

For what it's worth, you'd never hear me moan about the rain or slow starts to summer. If it's cool you can dress to keep warm. If it rains you can put a coat on to keep dry. If it's like today you can't take your skin off. I'm praying for the storms tomorrow as I love a good one. Currently I'm contemplating a late evening dip in the pool which is sitting at a nice 28 degrees. I'd certainly feel fresher getting out of it.

We are all different and that's what makes the world go round.
Some people love the different seasons but I am not one of them.

I get very down in the winter and also on rainy days but my mood and attitude to life improve when the weather is nice.

I suspect that I may have been born on the wrong continent.

A week or so ago when it was relentless rain I mentioned to a friend that "I might pop over to Spain"

She said she also couldn't bear the weather and she would come with me.
This was the Friday and we were in Spain by Monday night.

Turned out that not only did she not like the rain in England but she didn't like the sun in Spain either.

Well, I had the late evening dip in the pool after all. It felt bloody lovely! Followed by a nice cool shower.

Then I stepped out of the bathroom and felt muggy again within 5 minutes. Canny win!

I am still outside with my glass of wine ( ** ) on the patio.

Can't bring myself to go in, not with the thought that that might be "it" for this year.

(** not the same glass of wine that I referred to on another thread at 7.00pm obviously........
....... Not even the same bottle.).

I play badminton regularly on a Monday nights and we usually go for a drink afterwards. It's an earn your beers kind of thing. Anyway, we sat outside the pub on Monday and all one of my friends kept saying virtually every other sentence was "I can't believe we're outside, it's so lovely, I could be abroad!" :)

Isn't there a sticker on your drinks fridge warning of the perils of dresses not fitting? ;)

I'm like @Carole - I love summe & sometimes it feels like winter will never end, I've spent nearly all day in the garden, waiting for small child to get home so we can both get in her pool ....

Also though, like @wmrcomputers I love a good storm - hope it waits till I'm in bed though, love falling asleep to heavy rain...
