Fine on Kingston Hill, though they prioritise business lines.

I did have some issues last week, it was down for a good couple of hours. Apparently some SNR issues at a local exchange that was causing problems for the area. May still be that as they did say it may be intermittent up till the end of the month. Their estimates are always very generous though.

Has anyone on Virgin had any problems watching stuff on Catch Up, specifically ITV and Coronation Street though there have been others.

We returned from holiday a few weeks ago and tried to catch up on episodes we'd missed only to find out that we couldn't. We reported it and largely forgot about the problem, but I've just checked and we still can't get them. How widespread the problem is, I've no idea, but I suspect it may not be affecting BBC as I believe we watched Doctor Foster on catch-up.

If you google virgin media status and put your account info in, it will tell you if there is a problem with reception etc. Sometimes there is a problem with only certain programmes.

Thanks for that, GG. - I checked, as you suggested, but as my issue wasn't listed, I gave them a bell and they've sorted it, all very efficiently.

They said the issue was, they send out 'patches' to my Tivo box every now and then to fix certain problems (presumably a bit like Microsoft send out OS patches around once a month). Unfortunately they don't always get automatically applied successfully, leaving some Tivo boxes OK and some with a problem. Once the guy at Virgin forced the patch through, all was well.

ETA BTW, they do ask you to tap in 3 characters from your password on your phone keypad. You don't need to do this at this point (you can just hang on the line), though you may need to give it verbally at some point.
