My mobi does have a radio I'd completly forgotten, good call there Wmr.

Shoes if you can take being in an enclosed space with Jr Rat for as long as the show takes, you can have a medal :P
Ooooh will it be one you're making yourself :D

Will we be doing the old tori-shoes (snigger) video one-two again this year?
For you my darling I'll even bejewel it :P
And if you want me to lend my exceedingly shakey camera arm to this venture once again, I am more than willing.

Can we pick one night for a post lights pie visit once again?

Absolutely, I was hoping that would crop up :D

Gotta love the pie and ale house. Think we'll abandon the car in town though and get a taxi back.

With regards to the mention of pocket radio's... I'm considering having a supply of them with headphones for sale at £2 each (of which all profits will also go the the Special Care Baby Unit). Thoughts??
I went to a 'silent rave' a little while ago ... it was really good.
Was the point i wanted to get across;

^good idea.

Nah we'll drive to wmr's and then into town, but ale might be necessary after that!

I went to one of those years ago. I remember taking the headphones off and everyone was shouting soooooo loudly at eachother to try and talk I had to put the headphones back on quick! lol :)

Good idea about the radios, where would you get them from (pound shop ?)
Poundland yes ;)
Actually SCRAP THAT! Got the wife to pick me up 2 different ones to try them out and neither work!! If it wasn't for her working there I'd make a complaint about it. Ok they're only a quid, but nevertheless they should work!!

Just to say a bit of a public thank you to Aardvark Graffix for donating the banner pictured below. Hope fully this will help attract more visitors and raise even more funds this year for the SCBU
HUGE THANKS!

Can anyone suggest what they think might be best to do with the banner above please?

My obvious choice was to place it on the curved garden wall at the front of the house, but I have an awful feeling that local kids will just damage it out of boredom. Either that or their feet will ruin in as they all sit on our garden wall no matter how many times we try to move them on! It was, however, a good place with ideal viewing for cars driving past to see it (in the daytime)

Alternatively I was thinking about driving a couple of big stakes into the side garden with plywood across the top, and then attaching it to the plywood. This way I could try to point a spotlight up at it to get the attention of cars passing at night at times when the show isn't running. Slight problem... I'm rubbish at DIY! ;)

Any other bright idea's will be greatfully received

I subscribe to the idea of DIBGSWKWTDTDI - Do It By Getting Someone Who Knows What They're Doing To Do It. Not such a snappy acronym.

Well the banner is up - at least until the winds blow or kids vandalise it! I have a light pointing at it too, and there seems to be a few cars slowing down to read it - so hopefully this will help a lot this year. :)

For anyone who wants to donate this year but doesn't wish to leave their car after the show, there is now a DONATE button on the website at www.staffordlights.co.uk
Thanks

Perhaps the idea is to get some peace and quiet - or just stop them drilling holes everywhere and covering their nice house with lights...
