I had cause to call at the station today and was subject to a brief tour of the facilities, and very good it all looks, too. I anticipate that things will continue to progress well - subject to bureaucratic acquiescence, of course.

Today on The Comedy Club Rob Halden will be joined by forum favourite Tom Allsopp to chat nonsense and banter foolishly. Also on the show will be Maggie from Cafe Nero telling us all about a wonderful Charity Gig they are putting together this week to benefit African Orphans with AIDS.

We'll also have all the news and events from the world of comedy, including our thoughts on the winners and losers of Friday's British Comedy Awards 2011. As well as all that they'll be The One & Only Song Request, as well as a hilarious clips & excepts from some of the true greats of stand-up comedy.

So join the fun between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. live on Stafford FM

I'm trying to "support" Stafford FM by listening and then that awful coughing advert comes on... yeah, if that comes back again I won't be listening much longer, so annoying.
defo - the only downside to the excellent stafford fm is having to hear councillor tom harris' annoying voiceovers so often lol.. that one about him having a bad back and moaning at his wife about getting a bit of paper especially grinds my gears! :grr:

keep on keepin' on though, stafford fm! here's hoping you get a more permanent FM licence (or DAB or whatever) so we can all listen more often (e.g. in the car) :)

Hi Everyone

Just been reading your kind comments on the Rangers coverage on Stafford FM. As a Rangers fan, I try to give fair coverage of the games but with a Rangers bias. I am trying to tone the Black Country accent down however, it does tend to dominate when the games get exciting! Please keep your comments coming as it helps us deliver better programmes for you, the listeners

Personally speaking i don't think you need to tone anything down. Of the games i've been able to listen to, i've thought your commentary has been excellent.

I think the station is excellent, you are doing a great job. Limited listening times though until the Fm licence comes through.

Some classic tracks I haven't heard for a ling time being aired.., pm dawn was on the other morning when I was en route to the golf course. Great way to start the day!

Hats off to Scott Miles for playing a couple of Stafford dance classics on his show this eve! Not only do I have to get used to hearing the word 'Stafford' mentioned so frequently on the radio, but I now also have '2 Stafford tunes within 10 mins' syndrome!

Excellent work. No mentions of Stafford Forum thus far though...

edit: Oh no, it's more likely to be Scott Dutton.

That is great news, get them 'pot herbs' off the stage! Loads of good publicity, and advertising, that will get more folk listening in.

Was planning to enter, but tendinitis in both Achilles  means, not this year! Plans to do 50 official runs of at least 10K before I am 50 (14 months), has also gone south!
