Great news! I have spoken to Kerry from the Staffordshire Newsletter, who would like to do a lead piece in the entertainments section for the 23rd. I (mostly) will be putting together some kind of press release over the weekend and early next week, to be sent by this Wednesday. (I am planning to send a press release to the rest of the local media too.)

If any Forumites would like to say a few words about the gig (the line-up, anti-racism, whatever - but (sorry!) no hippos or dwarves), please let me know as soon as possible. No guarantees of publication, but having a couple of quotes will mean that the Forum can get an even bigger mention!

Lunar - I'm a bit of a dab hand with ye olde camera (have a good one too) so if you want any photography done at the event for publishing afterwards (press or whatever) then let me know and I'll master them and send to you on CD (the images are a bit large for sending online).

And it's good to see Forumites putting their differences aside to offer help. I briefly thought about closing *ahem* that thread, but I had a feeling if you both got it out of your systems you'd be mature enough to not let it affect everyday relationships

I don't have a problem with Lunar Scorpian, and I hope she doesn't have a problem with me, it is at the end of the day all a matter of opinion. Ours are just extremely opposed, but if everyone thought the same then forums may as well not exist.

Anyway I am more than happy to help out with all events, especially ones with good causes regardless of who is organising/pluggin them.

AFAIK the gatehouse does have a strict policy on photographing but I would think for something like this they may be a little more leaniant (spelling?!).

Flyering does at least cause some disruption for them - it means someone might read it and start to realise what a bunch of lying scumbags they are.

I have to admit, there are times when I would quite like to go and put a cricket bat to their heads - but that's just the effect they have on people... Violence is not big or clever. (Except cartoon violence, which is funny!)

There will be an after party at the Castle Tavern, and this is strictly for those who have attended the Love Music Hate Racism event. You will need either the ticket stub from the evening or a hand stamp (not sure which it will be yet) to get in, and Ash the landlord is very kindly opening until 2am! There *may* be some food on offer too. Bring it on!

Err...not sure about that! I'm really looking forward to seeing all the bands so was thinking of either handing them out whilst having a wander, or popping them on tables at stalls..

Just been having a natter with jchiltz, who unfortunately can't make it on the night Is anyone planning on filming the evening? Would be good for non-attendees and attendees alike to be able to watch the performances on the web.
