I saw what I think was a sign warning of a road closure of the B5066 Sandon Road as it enters Sandon from the canal bridge, but there was a lot of detail and just not enough time to read it as I went past. I didn't see one when returning the other way.

Some signs at the side of on M5/ M6 warning of that 22nd-23rd September closure , also mentioned closed on 6th October between 14-15 .

For those that use the M6 j14-15 I noticed this afternoon that in the roadworks on the central reservation the had a mobile (van)speed camera unit in place....

Should be an interesting day for those of us who work over the weekend, motorway closed over Saturday & Sunday with traffic diverted through Stafford, 10k is on and of course the usual traffic chaos caused by the car boot sale & the fair being on at the same time!

For those that use the M6 j14-15 I noticed this afternoon that in the roadworks on the central reservation the had a mobile (van)speed camera unit in place....

It's there quite often (& at other motorway roadworks). Its is the average speed check area. It's operated by Carnells (motorway contractors & not the "safety partnership". I don't know how enforceable it is but I won't be taking the risk. Lots of vehicles went past it at a fair bit over 50mph yesterday.

There's another dead car just past it now - it's passable with care, if you have any.

There is a special surprise second flood at the Fairfield Court entrance, due to blocked drains that have been like that for a long, long time now - it was right across the road earlier, but just on the outbound side now.

We had a traditional water feature up Sandon Road for many years. Alas they resurfaced the road and it was lost. The water gods are winning again now.

The old water feature was a source of much entertainment, especially when some bright spark moved the bus stop into the middle of it.
