If attempting to go north on the A34, you can take your foot off at the bottom of Yarlet Bank, the queue is all the way back to the Enson Lane turn.

It's like that most days with the roadworks around Aston roundabout etc.
I only ever use it southbound from Fillybrooks in the current conditions, today was the worst I've ever seen it - back to the ex-Coach & Horses was my previous record.

That roundabout had a particularly nice wildflower installation on it, there won't be much of that left now.

I haven't used it north since before Juneish when they started by Filleybrooks. Even southbound it's either through Stone Town & Aston village or Hilderstone & Sandon. 1day earlier this week ( Tuesday?) they were queueing at the bottom of Yarlet Bank at about 2pm but there was a HGV stopping traffic using the outside lane by the Coach & Horses/Aston Garage. The outside lane was empty from there all the way to the bends past Pirehill.

Same today - single-lane queueing with only the cones in the way.

The Eccleshall Road from Filleybrooks is to be closed overnight a few times fairly soon - but it was all just too much to remember...

I see that we are having fourteen days of work on the Lotus lights at the Sandon Road / Astonfields Road junction - starting on September 17th - and that we should 'expect delays'.

More delays that the existing futility creates? That is not clear yet....
The temporary lights aren't that much worse than the 'real' ones have been.
