Out of interest has anyone actually seen any precautions being taken at work? Any cleaners been hired to detol the desks? Ages ago HR departments were advised to make plans incase it got into the workplace but I haven't seen or heard any plans at my work!

Is it possible to have swine flu, without the flu part? I seem to have most of the secondary symptoms without the main 2!

Does this mean I simply have swine? Got pig?
i'm exactly the same! got almost all the secondary symptoms, but no sign of fever or cough :strange:

(for the record, i don't actually think i've got swine flu lol)..

Ive got all the symptoms but I'm assuming mine is just man flu ;)

I did actually phone the docs last week but i just got palmed off with "ring us back in 2 days if it worsens". Its now a week later and i feel like shit but i would by now with any cough / cold / chest infection so I can't be bothered to ring.

Even if it were (unlikely) swine flu, they say 90% of people get over it like any other cold without treatment anyway.

So my question really is... whats the flaming difference?!?!?

Well a school in Stoke has closed because of it. But I have since read on the BBC news website that no further schools will be closing as it is already widespread. I have had every sympton too, I think they are also symptoms of a severe hangover following a heavy weekend, lol.

There are various bugs going around as well as the pig flu.
Some people are very sneezy and snotty at the moment, and some people have vomited, but this is not swine flu. I myself have felt nauseous today, but I think it is to do with the amount of rubbish I ate yesterday.

Flu really is flu and you do know you've got it. That unmistakeable feeling like you can't get your breath, coughing all the time, high temperature, not sleeping, aching all over and feeling like crap. I've had colds which you kind of say is flu, but I've also had flu, when I said to the doctor "I think I'm dying."
So that's the test. Do you feel so bad that you think it possible you will die? If not, its just a cold. But possibly a "bad" cold...
Loving the pig smiley, so here it is!

My sons school has a confirmed swine flu case today (John Wheeldon Primary).
@Florence, you're absolutely right, I had flu last year, if someone says "I think I've got the flu?" they haven't.
Anyway symptoms are varying as initially swine flu had a fever with it but recent cases are reporting that this is not so. Case in point the sad death of the six year old girl at the weekend. Just keep sneezing into tissues and washing your hands people.
