I heard with great dismay yesterday that they may consider closing all schools in september in an attempt to contain swine flu, have we not learnt from what happened in birmingham? Closing schools only means bored kids who then go out and around spreading swine flu further and wider. In Birmingham we saw schools close and those children going and mixing more with children from other schools...and then we were treated to even more children infected, more schools closed, more bored kids going out and about... etc etc

[Personally i think maybe we should of closed the schools with the kids inside until they all had it and were clear (hehe...ONLY JOKING!!)]

That would be on the same scale as a pandemic in its own right.

I work in a very large organisation in the heart of the pandemic, and we've been told we are not to stay at home if we come into contact with it. Given that many of the staff (there's 1,500 on site) will have children in affected schools in Birmingham and Walsall I'm surprised it isn't more rife.

Its the same in hospitals, we tell staff including doctors and nurses, unless you have symptoms you must come to work. So far seems to be sound advice

i am told there is a sub organic version of SF that is less harmful and who's symptons are more akin to manflu ( ie i canna get out of bed duck but i anna gorra code orra bad throat passustheremote )
