If it is now run by an "Holding Company" does this mean the pub will stay open for a couple of months, then closedown again? as some of these companies are only in it short term.

According to the info supplied by Andreas Rex it looks as if they are prepared to make a long term commitment to the pub, the combining of a restaurant menu and live entertaintmaint is the way forward. I shall look forward to attending, and how big is the £55 steak?

as andreas has just pointed out to me, a cook at mcdonalds could claim he has "created dishes for the likes of rooney and ronaldo" lol..

i'm still gutted this place isn't mexican anymore..

edit: hactually, i've just checked out tequila red's facebook, where it says:

Mark, the new manager and Ed, the new chef welcome you to the new Tequila Red. Open noon until midnight, 7 days a week. Fine English, Italian, Mediterranean & Mexican dining, bar snacks, cocktails, live entertainment and DJs every week. 01785 252111
so, who knows, there might be hope for us mexican-lovers yet!

Went on Friday night for a few birthday drinks and was made to feel really welcome by Tequila Red. Lovely food as they gave my party samplers and all was delicious and pleasant staff, would highly reccommend if they keep the standard of friendliness up

Good stuff sadly at 20:10 on sat eve not one paying customer was to be seen, surely the Newsletter and the E&S could throw a bit of clout behind this. ie report, write-up, competition, freebie, etc.......

A few posts under my belt
Greetings People Of Stafford. Let me introduce myself. My name: Mark Lacey. Occupation: Grafter. Location: Tequila Red.
So here's the script. Tequila has not yet had Its official relaunch. This is happening this Friday (21st August). We have been trading for 12 days. During this time it has given me chance to get a feel for the place and implement new menus, organise entertainment and get essential feedback from you, our potential clientele. This interim period I have found to be very useful to take TR forward and maximise its true potential a Drinking, Dining & Entertainment venue. I have listened, watched & learnt over these days how we could possibly fill a void in Stafford with TR.
Our aim is to provide a relaxed, chilled out environment to come along and be entertained in every possible way conceivable. Live music most evenings, Theme Nights, Great Food(Yes there IS A Mexican Menu). Everything you need to know about what’s happening day to day at TR, I will endeavour to post to The Stafford Forum, alternatively our Facebook page will be up to speed as soon as I book acts, organise theme nights i.e. Poker tournaments, Poetry readings, Jam sessions, Stand-up Comedy, DJ,s etc. I hope that you will all “give us a go†and make TR your own place.
Eat, Drink & be Merry!!
Mark Lacey
