Interesting point. What about those varieties of figs which require pollinating to produced fruit. The pollinator is a small wasp which lays its eggs in the developing seed ... Hadn't thought about that one.

By the way, are avocados etc which are pollinated by bees from hives which aren't shipped around the country ok?

:D

Any fruit or veg that has to be pollinated or is pollinated but whatever little amazing creature does the pollinating and then that little pollinator goes off on it's merry little way, is ripe for picking imo. Doing a job it finds natural and is being done naturally, hurts no one and no thing.

It's an interesting debate and if it takes this sort of short clip on QI to prick up some ears in the way we mistreat almost all creatures on this planet for our benefit, then all the better.

There's a shed load of stuff i never knew is happening to animals (we pretend to care for) before going vegan and then there's a shed load of stuff i've learnt since going vegan ...and ...uhhh ...there's another shed, i wonder what's in there!

Recent visit to the Market Vaults for a burger.

Asked at the bar before committing and the woman was very nice and said bacon and cheese is substituted for their vegan equivalent.
It was a whopper of a burger (two patties no less) with a mountain of fries.

Worth a visit!
