If they order some Salopian Oracle ones I'd be even more impressed
Try discussing that with the Craft Union Pub Company (aka Enterprise Inns)
Not the most ethical of landlords.
Although I haven't been inside it yet, I'm not too impressed with the refurb, don't get me wrong it looks lovely, and they've clearly spent some money on it, but disappointingly , it's just a clone of every other pub, very similar to Yates and has lost what made it unique.
How can you tell if you haven't been inside yet?
X-ray vision ?....
Lots of photos on grapes facebook page
The only thing that was unique about it was it was a poo hole
Ei Group plc
Ah must be true if it's on Facebook then
I shall leave my judgement until the place opens and see for myself.
The inside of the Grapes looks decent. However, I still won't go to it because i would rather go to the floodgate or the sun.
The pub doesn't look very sporty, just a couple of tv screens. Is it seeking to apeal to the armchair fans that support some random team?
Get Chivers on !....
Just had a quick visit and the decor has been done nicely and it is an improvement on what it was but it ain't no Sports bar really.
It's still the same old Grapes with a makeover and no live music from what I can see.
Still it's good to see a pub being improved and I hope it does go well for them.
Also makes a nice change to not have a huge cock on the door for once
Oh well, never mind. It's not like there's a shortage of very decent pubs in Stafford Town Centre.
They advertised they were screening the Anthony Joshua fight Saturday night. Not sure I fancy it if there's going to be a live DJ on at same time. Might stick to Kenny's.
Timothy Taylor Landlord £2.40 a pint, no complaints.....
