Are you still on slimming world? Cutting out foods and eating all you can eat carbs, isn't healthy in the long run. Of course you're going to lose weight

Well done on loosing the weight but there are easier cheaper option, than a carb overload which is storing that excess sugar into your triglycerides which then puts it into cells as a fat reserve.

Water weight is lost, then muscle mass is eaten away at and vital organs which then it turn eventually leads to osteoporosis and other illnesses in later life.

Your body works on a calorie intake not by cutting them, but by eating the correct foods and amount. For instance my body at rest doing nothing at all I need around 855 calories just to breathe. You need to work out your calories by working out your BMR (to survive and have energy) and your TDEE which you should never go over. Here you work between the two amounts of calories and include your exercise in these figures.

Always be aware of hidden sugars, carbs contain a lot of sugar as do fruit whether natural or not. Each meal should consist of fats, healthy carbs, veg. To keep your metabolism up eat every few hours 4-5 meals a day and plenty of water.

Slimming world or any other diet isn't a lifestyle change, it's about food combining so you will lose weight. You also need to eat fat to help lose fat and gain muscle.. Silly I know. It's all about biochemistry in our bodies and chemical reactions that take place.

Also eating a lot of red meat for example is linked to bowel cancer and it's also high in saturated fat which eventually can lead to heart disease.

Also depending on your body you can only absorb so much meat as your body has no other use for it, mine is around 150g at this moment.

Were you working out too?

Life isn't about restrictions, it's about eating healthy, having your treats in moderations and living your life. That happens with a correct BMR and TDEE reading which anyone can do.

You can't follow a plan without knowing your correct BMR/TDEE I feel you could be under eating which is why you're loosing or have lost and this will start eating away at muscle.

They suggest for you to have sweeteners, bad carbs, processed food, lots of fruit but cut out healthy fats: butter, olive oil, whole grains.

Basically it's a glorified low-fat calorie-controlled diet that has brain washed millions who are unaware how simple a healthy diet is

Great work tho! Hats off to you, because at the end of the day this as all you

I am still with slimming world, it works for me because I like food, I will have a nice big stir fry tonight, I wont have it every day, but I can eat what I want. You are making assumptions that people on slimming world just eat a massive plate of pasta and it isnt the case, it may have been many years ago but their diet/food plan has changed and it is considerably more balanced.
Dont write something off just to highlight something I suspect you are selling.

Please be aware that once you stop that weight will eventually creep back onto you.
It is really simple to eat more without following their plan. You can probably consume more calories than you're on now I bet my life on it.

It's about eating more to keep the weight off and resetting your body clock. Anyone who's obese I would recommend cutting sugar for a month In order to use up those triglycerides stores I mentioned. Then after a month slowly introduce sugars back into the diet. This will reset your body clock and you will never regain this, unless you eat a lot of rubbish.

No Im not, I know it's not just about eating carbs but I am qualified in correct nutrition and a healthy lifestyle, which in turn yes you can eat what you want in moderation but you can probably also consume more calories than what your current intake is which leads to more food, slow release carbs to stop your insulin spikes from raising and feeling hunger a lot and stay fuller longer. Again it's about the biochemistry.

I know how it was then and I know how it is now, Im always aware and up to date with fad diets as it's my job to be and to care for people's health.

I'm not peddling anything, I'm giving honest opinions so people don't waste money on things they can do at home.

It's knowledge and everyone should be aware of this.

I am a passionate person and since being ill and struggling with my weight for over a year due to illness, I would not like to see it happen to someone else. And if I have knowledge to give, I will do so free of charge and always will. I go by facts, not by being handed certain foods to go off by unqualified persons making a buck to get by

All I'm saying is Slimming World doesn’t educate you about calories. Without having learned about calories and portion sizes, you may struggle to keep the weight off in the long term when you come off the programme. Which many people do.

I just feel everyone should be educated and again it's knowledge I will always continue to share in order for everyone to lead a happy healthy life while eating foods they enjoy and want to eat.

Calories is what helps us all survive from day to day
