Lost 6 stone with Slimming World, maintained that loss for the last 3 years.
Are you still on slimming world? Cutting out foods and eating all you can eat carbs, isn't healthy in the long run. Of course you're going to lose weight
Well done on loosing the weight but there are easier cheaper option, than a carb overload which is storing that excess sugar into your triglycerides which then puts it into cells as a fat reserve.
Water weight is lost, then muscle mass is eaten away at and vital organs which then it turn eventually leads to osteoporosis and other illnesses in later life.
Your body works on a calorie intake not by cutting them, but by eating the correct foods and amount. For instance my body at rest doing nothing at all I need around 855 calories just to breathe. You need to work out your calories by working out your BMR (to survive and have energy) and your TDEE which you should never go over. Here you work between the two amounts of calories and include your exercise in these figures.
Always be aware of hidden sugars, carbs contain a lot of sugar as do fruit whether natural or not. Each meal should consist of fats, healthy carbs, veg. To keep your metabolism up eat every few hours 4-5 meals a day and plenty of water.
Slimming world or any other diet isn't a lifestyle change, it's about food combining so you will lose weight. You also need to eat fat to help lose fat and gain muscle.. Silly I know. It's all about biochemistry in our bodies and chemical reactions that take place.
Also eating a lot of red meat for example is linked to bowel cancer and it's also high in saturated fat which eventually can lead to heart disease.
Also depending on your body you can only absorb so much meat as your body has no other use for it, mine is around 150g at this moment.
Were you working out too?
Life isn't about restrictions, it's about eating healthy, having your treats in moderations and living your life. That happens with a correct BMR and TDEE reading which anyone can do.
You can't follow a plan without knowing your correct BMR/TDEE I feel you could be under eating which is why you're loosing or have lost and this will start eating away at muscle.
They suggest for you to have sweeteners, bad carbs, processed food, lots of fruit but cut out healthy fats: butter, olive oil, whole grains.
Basically it's a glorified low-fat calorie-controlled diet that has brain washed millions who are unaware how simple a healthy diet is
Great work tho! Hats off to you, because at the end of the day this as all you
