Mr M, welcome back! I don't suppose you will tell us where you've been hiding...communications manager for the Post House? I noticed your avatar on an old post last night and assumed that someone (Gram?) had created it mischievously in your absence.

There is only one other person on this Forum whose avatar has been influenced by me, and it is not Mr Marwood....

A corrupt politician? Who'd have thunk it!

Anyone who wants power should be denied it at all costs, I call The Right Slimy Mandelson as exhibit A.

Agreed. But...there is something about Campbell. I don't think he should be denied at all costs. At all.

I was thinking of the gentleman with the sizeable parcel at customer point 1 - strictly speaking one is a username rather than an avatar but i find it difficult to believe you had zero input on that.

But do we not digress further still?

Nothing to do with me, I didn't handle his avatar in any way at all - and this is all Marwood's fault. He makes a brief appearance and generates a whole page of nonsense..

I have also been told by someone I trust that they know 2 ppl that work there and they have not been paid as have Also been told thy have had half there staff walk out, it would be a shame if they don't succeed but like myself you have a free marketing sceem here and what better way to find out what your customers want than one here!!

Hello Stafford Forum,

my name is Gareth and after moving back to Stafford last year to work (actually live in the Moorlands but a former Stafford resident) I have been a regular viewer of this forum for the best part of a year now and I thought it was about time I introduced myself and engaged, so I thought is should start here as a quick note.

After paying a visit to the delights of The Post House I put the question to a daughter of one of my former neighbours who is waitressing there. After catching up she seemed a little dismayed when I asked if staff were being paid, she did confirm she was as did the other young gentleman waiting tables, he went on and commented he wouldn't be working for nothing. I cannot on talk about anything else about the post house in a cash flow sense but I do think people have to be careful with rumour as this story does seem to be going around on this forum without much substance. I may not feel that way if I hadn't come across someone I knew working there and it can be said it may not have been the best place to bring it up-whoops, but it seems odd there is so much talk about a persons living without anyone having asked directly.

As I said I can only comment on 2 people and not everyone that works there but the young lad and lady didn't seem to have a clue about any story of people not getting their hard earned crust.

Good to finally post on here, we will chat again soon.:)

Hello Gareth, welcome to Stafford Forum! :D

Well, exactly. The frustrating thing is, as others have pointed out, is that all it would take to quell such rumours is for someone from The Post House to sign-up and give us some kind of official statement! As someone has pointed out, they even have someone who they specifically employ whose job it is to do Marketing and things such as online/social media, so there really is no excuse.

The rumours here have come from what people understand to be credible sources (i.e. more than one; people directly associated with The Post House), so you can see how this has happened in the absence of any other evidence!

Still, glad to hear of your positive experience, and thanks for signing-up. :)

My daughter knows several of the staff at the Post House and they have told her they weren't paid for around six weeks but they have been paid now. Maybe having seen this thread they have told the staff to deny the rumours?

Hello again,

yes I guess that is more than plausible although this young lady and gent did seem to have had no issue with their wages on the basis of what they divulge to me.
I will say also and of course this doesn't go to every supplier but Stafford's splendid fruit and veg shop in Mill Street have never had any issues with payment as of this week, so lord knows :)

But I hope TPH success as I do all local businesses as I think Stafford is a splendid little and quite unique town in its own way, the reason why I have that view will soon become apparent due to my line of work, you will find out soon :)
Gareth.
