Maybe the next time someone goes in they should drop a hint for them to sign up on here and get some valued feedback...

I let them know about the forum when I emailed for xmas menus, but they don't seem to have taken any notice.

If they do, I hope they take the criticisms on the chin and realise the potential The Forum offers them for gaining genuine, honest feedback/market research (for free) and use it to properly engage with and respond to their client-base, rather than just go in a huff and dismiss us as 'moaning minnies' like Super Radio Stafford did (and we all saw how long they lasted).

The Chambers thread was an excellent example of how a new place opened, got absolutely slated on here in its first few weeks, but after engaging with their customers and making a few changes, they ended up as a Forum Favourite and got more business as a result! Alas, they closed down, but that was unrelated to The Forum; indeed, if we could have helped them more I dare say we all would have.

I feel like sometimes people see The Forum as a single entity, with a single goal or motive, and so dismiss it if they see something they don't like or something negative directed towards something they have an interest in. Businesses/entrepreneurs/etc. need to understand that The Forum is completely unbiased, and merely a place for the people of Stafford to voice their opinions. If one disagrees with something that is posted, then one should post a rebuttal - that is the very essence of debate and discussion! :)

I looked at their site and can only see a telephone number. You can subscribe to a newsletter but at the moment you can not pass on comments to them via an email address. As many have said, they should have a more formal feed back system. A costly venture of this nature almost begs for early comments and recommendations. I think passing comments on to some of the staff may fall into a black hole and may not reach those who can address the issues. The sooner you address the problems the sooner you can attract more customers. As I said before it suggests that it was a race to open before Christmas, hence the loose ends. Getting a new venture right at the front end is important, at the moment it is novelty that people will try and if your first experience is a poor one you move back to the tried and tested places.

Ahem...see my post above yours! If you Google 'The Post House Stafford' it comes up as one of the options, even though it doesn't seem to be available if you go to their homepage and look around.

The email address is also pretty easy to find using Google....info@theposthousestafford.co.uk.

:)

Ah!! "Just the two of us" Is that not a well known song?????

Thanks Andreas. I promise to look harder next time.
Haha no probs. It is a bit odd for the details/form not to be a lot more explicitly available.

A few people I work with have tried to pop in to try out the place but have been put off by the £5 entry fee and view of an empty bar through the windows.

It might be an idea for The Post House to reduce their prices or waive the entry fee for a few weeks, just to draw people in?

To me, any entry fee is crazy.... this is Stafford FFS.

An entry fee won't keep the riff raf out if thats why they did it. The Swan don't charge an entry fee.... madness but then what do I know....

With the bar prices at the higher end of the scale much like the Swans are then it is automatic crowd control. Riff raff as someone called it won't pay unless it's bargain prices and the Weatherspoons and Lintern Trees will always win that crowd.

They should be direct competition for the Swan so the most they need to do is match them for price! To go straight in as the most expensive place in town is no way to win trade in a credit crunch.
