How many of you are going?
Hopefully we'll have another one next door to TMV soon!
Just 5 of us. My dad's coming up for a visit so it's more of a quiet, civilised evening as opposed to a raucous thing with loads of friends.
I enjoyed the smooth pate ...
Ok @ChrisLewis when did you move the Swan and the Bear Grill to Stourbridge (E&S p15)
I'm not sure about The Swan and Bear in Stourbridge, but The Swan and Bear in Stafford have a fortnight Gin Festival starting tomorrow!
Bell in Eccy had a recent gin promo on. 'The Seven Deadly Gins'
Likely because that and England playing on the Saturday and the intrigue of Revolution in its early days. That said Swan rammed weekend before.
Came in tonight, dunno if they're short staffed but when we got there several vacant tables had empties on and most needed a wipe.
We had service issues when we went too.
i was in the swan after work for a late lunch and a cheeky gin, or was it two?? seemed quite busy, staff didnt seem under too much pressure. i had a pizza, then sticky toffee pudding, then maybe another gin!!!
Sorry to hear this Lucy! If there was anything in particular that needs highlighting, please do email me firstname.lastname@example.org
Sorry to hear this, I will pass onto our bars manager!
The empties were cleared within a few minutes, tables still needed a wipe though.
The restaurant on the other hand was spot on, as was the food.
I've already had a response to my review...
Query, I have a Vegan visiting for a week in october, and so I'm looking into dining options. I seem to remember a year or so back you were trialling a vegan night, is that still a thing, or a market you still cater for ?
We do have a Veggie and Vegan evening every Tuesday - details can be found here http://www.theswanstafford.co.uk/eat/vegetarian-vegan-night/#.V91nQ_krJhE
Your vegan friend can have complete confidence eating off the Tuesday night menu. Not only is it a great menu and a fab deal but the chefs really understand ingredients - so you don't have to ask about gelatine, stock derivation etc. You can just eat and enjoy. There's even vegan wine.
@TheLewisPartnership getting served at the bar in the swan is becoming ridiculous, I can understand when it's busy but when there are more bar staff on than people standing at the bar and a man goes up to the bar and get served straight away leaving the other people waiting to get served standing there like unworthy idiots it is not on & just plain rude.
So sorry to read this. I will certainly pass your feedback onto our bars manager. Hope to see you again soon.
