Just 5 of us. My dad's coming up for a visit so it's more of a quiet, civilised evening as opposed to a raucous thing with loads of friends.

Likely because that and England playing on the Saturday and the intrigue of Revolution in its early days. That said Swan rammed weekend before.

Came in tonight, dunno if they're short staffed but when we got there several vacant tables had empties on and most needed a wipe.

The empties were cleared within a few minutes, tables still needed a wipe though.

The restaurant on the other hand was spot on, as was the food.

Query, I have a Vegan visiting for a week in october, and so I'm looking into dining options. I seem to remember a year or so back you were trialling a vegan night, is that still a thing, or a market you still cater for ?

Your vegan friend can have complete confidence eating off the Tuesday night menu. Not only is it a great menu and a fab deal but the chefs really understand ingredients - so you don't have to ask about gelatine, stock derivation etc. You can just eat and enjoy. There's even vegan wine.

@TheLewisPartnership getting served at the bar in the swan is becoming ridiculous, I can understand when it's busy but when there are more bar staff on than people standing at the bar and a man goes up to the bar and get served straight away leaving the other people waiting to get served standing there like unworthy idiots it is not on & just plain rude.
