Looks like a batten down the hatches job for the next few days …
As long as things don't get wild until after 10:00pm, I'll be happy. (Got a game in Brum today; kick-off is 4:30 so probably won't be home until 8:30.)
ETA The game was very one-sided, so rather than stick to the stop-start timing of most American Football games, the officials just let the clock run meaning the game finished about 30 minutes early. And with everyone keen to get away, I got home about 7:45.
Should be OK ... tomorrow looks like a hooley blowing in.
It's a good day to be returning from a week in The Lakes.
A knock at my front door, and there stood the lovely @Trumpet
Not in his professional capacity I must add.
I had something he wanted, so he came and got it!
And very nice too.
Are you tarting that lemon drizzle cake again?
Sssh, Davey Boy might be watching.
At least he'd knock the right door first time!
The back door .......
That's practice for you.
Did you do your 'proper knock'?
Bet my poor neighbour had a heart attack if you did!
Do caravans have more than one door?
Knock three times on the ceiling....
Can't remember the last time I knocked a door for work.
Guaranteed to open any door:
Knock four times, first two quick, second two slow. Then tell them: "Big Harry sent me."
Never known it to fail, (well … just once in Mexico, but I was down the alleyway so quick they couldn't get a shot off. There's no Spanish equivalent for the name Harry )
... Lovely @Glam bringing me the same thing as @Trumpet, much appreciated.
Well read rather than heard.
This is a local BSB support race rider from Eccy. Great rider and is heading for a great career from what I've seen of him.
