Actually last night as I was walking home across Parkside, after a visit to the Shrew, somebody shouting "Geoff, Geoff, come here now".
Took me a while to realise that it was a lady calling her cat in.
I did have to ask if the cat's name had been spelt correctly with a G and not a J and also whether he was called Geoffrey if he was naughty

In the days when you could hear the cops' radio on FM, I remember hearing a suspect described.
I presume that he was wearing a woolly hat, but, in the heat of the moment, he was described as "wearing a bobble-hat, without a bobble".
It was probably 1979, but I still find it funny.
