    Yes, oh my!!
hopefully 3k (although having read the detail it looks like it's a 5k) road race, 1500m track, and 50 Meter swim.
Should get my medical clearance, although I am due some major non emergency surgery.. Hoping to talk them into waiting until after the event ....

We are going to be in Spain in June, not far from Malaga, and we would have come to support you.

I think we are going to be there mid June so we will miss you by a week.

Really hope it goes well for you, it's such a wonderful thing that you are doing.

Aw what a shame, I'd have loved the support. I'm quietly feeling quite terrified at the thought of going.

It's just my husband, we couldn't afford to take the children. I feel guilty but it is what it is.
The next world Games are in Britain so if I'm still fit and well they can join in those. I'm also doing the British Games a month later in Scotland so they will get to come to those.

Please let us know how the experience is for you both peggy? Am sure it will be great; the result is irrelevant; never has the phrase 'Its all about the taking part!', been more appropriate! Every competitor truly is a winner!:slayer:

Don't feel guilty about not taking the children.

Regardless of the transplant games, regardless of the wonderful thing that you are doing....

Just going away without the kids is something that every couple should do now and again. It's about reconnecting and enjoying each other.

I know a couple that have just spilt up because since they had the children (3 kids, 12 years ago) they hadn't had one single night out together without the kids... not a meal out, not a drink in a pub, nothing. She just wouldn't go out without the children.
In my mind, not healthy, not good.
But that's probably a whole new thread by itself.

    So you GO GIRL .....

Enjoy your time together. If anyone deserves it, you do.
