Thought I'd have a day at work to stop me eating. Only issue is the kitchen is 5 steps away.
Never mind that, I hear they're going to be opening up a John Lewis here soon...Had a walk to Morrisons. Celebrated the fact that after years of debate we now have one here in Stafford.

Bloke up the road here, 86 and generally fit, has had a couple of "unexplained falls" lately and banged his head with the second one. Persuaded him to ring his quack this morning, they're about fifteen miles away. Appointment in one hour, plenty of time to get there. They gave him a good going over, patched his head up properly and attached some sort of heart monitor thingy. We came home then, after I had extricated myself from the left-handed Lidl where I was parked.Spent 40 minutes in a queue on hold to the Dr's, cut off twice, to find out they've not received my request for a repeat prescription that I put in the box outside on the 18th December. Annoyed & angry is the polite way of putting it.
I've had a banging headache all day long, not really fair when it's your day off & you're working 2 extra days in the week too.
Roll on Sunday...
Hubby used to pay a fortune every 3 weeks at Francesco . Not been since the first lockdown when I started doing it with the clippers for him. I must say it looks pretty good each time now (apart from the one time he grabbed the shaver in his temper and started blindly doing it himself....used the wrong side, so ended up with the 'bald' strip that suddenly appeared being matched all over . At least he was working from home so didn't have to venture out whilst totally bald )My hairdresser hasn't opened since the November 'lockdown', I haven't had my hair cut since October and I normally have it cut every 5 weeks. My neighbours have clippers with a grade 6 attachment, I am very tempted.
