Seems that recent new members are not best happy with the promised improvements to the course, i can see this ending in tears.........

The course isn't being improved, a new one is being built. You do talk half story shite Basil, especially if it's new members. What about those of us who have been members forever?

Yes, it is quiet. They need a lot of aggregate as the base for the banks etc., and as there is not a lot of construction giong on at the moment, this is very hard to come by.

At the risk of being further insulted and accused of talking 'shite' agreed there is not a lot of construction giong on at the moment, however there is a huge amount of demolition going on at the moment and this can be some of the cheapest aggregate giong.

Not in the slightest bothered either way however some pals have parted with some cash and are not in the slightest bit happy. However if it pleases you i could easily tell them they're 'talking shite', but that won't alter the fact that they are a tad pissed off.......

I don't have as vested an interest in the club as I did previously, after all, we're no longer privately run and I no longer sit on the committee that makes the decisions, so I don't know what premise these people have joined under. I, and most of the 'older' members, knew it'd be 3 or 4 years before the new course, did they think it was to be built in a day?

3 or 4 could possibly 5 or 6 some of them may never live to see its fruition......

Yes, I know plenty of people in that boat, most of the people I've known at the club, including my father. It doesn't stop him playing.
