Done my final food shopping , managing to win the fight for the last space in the Tesco carpark at 9am. The place was crazy, lots of the shelves already empty by then! :o

Luckily the Shell garage shop had the 'must have'mushrooms left when I filled up on the way home , to go with the xmas morning cheese & bacon oatcakes.

That's it now , no more shopping this year!

Tesco has just delivered my final shop.

Only one substitution and one unavailable, both of which aren’t the end of the world.

Slow cooked beef stew that I made at the weekend has just been pulled out of the freezer to thaw out for tea tomorrow.

Got some family popping in later for the last of the present distribution and that is us done!

Cheesecake to make tomorrow and I might peel some spuds for Christmas Day hasslebacks but other than that everything is all in hand. What we don’t have now we won’t be having and that’s all there is to it!

Merry Christmas Eve Eve Stafford forum!!!

Just said the same. We're having our Christmas dinner tomorrow, due to me working Christmas Day night and Boxing night.

Tesco shop arrived last night with Christmas goodies, only one substitution with a Chocolate Happy Birthday cake instead of a Merry Christmas cake. Seriously considered keeping it but decided not too, more importantly they got the Prosecco right..Merry Christmas All

My kids are all grown up now. Eldest is 40, youngest 31, almost 32. With the two in the middle as well.
I don't half miss the days when they were little at times. The excitement building up to Christmas, I can't remember any of them being unhappy with their presents.
We never had a lot of money when they were growing up, still don't! But we did our best for them.

My friend has 2 year old twins and she sent me a video earlier of them really excited.

It made me a little bit sad that my two aren’t little anymore (14 & 10) the little one still believes though and the older one plays along.

For us Christmas is less magical but it’s still all about family and fun and a bit of down time to take it a bit easier.

Son brought their pressies for us around earlier ,ready for tomorrow when they come for the day. including a lovely hand made boozy/chocolatey hamper with everything to make my favourite Pina Colada , and hubbys Bloody Mary's . He couldn't wrap that up though as would have spoilt the effect. (Seeing how proffessionally his GF has wrapped all the plastic & ribbony things around it and all the other presents done up in bows with not a bit of sellotape in sight .... , I'm in even more of a panic now about my horrendous wrapping efforts ! 😂 ) Had to keep stopping hubby diving in until tomorrow:roll:

No, this is the spirit.

Think I might have got hubby some of that.....I normally do , but bought and wrapped a couple of bottles that long ago that I've forgot what I've got him .
