We went past the other day and saw a few workmen dithering about. Nothing to see here. No work actually being done.
By comparison, we spend a bit of time in Spain and one Autumn a few years back, we read in the local newspaper of plans to build a beach boardwalk connecting over 160 km of the Costa Del Sol.
We were so excited for this, it was going to connect the whole coast, it would enable people to walk or jog, to the next beach bar, to the next community.
Imagine our surprise when we visited the next Summer, (only 10 months after reading of the plans) the boardwalk was 70% completed.
No dithering about, let’s do it, let’s build it. Let’s crack on and build 100km of boardwalk. Yes, it’s hot, so what?
We like to walk it early morning and there are always workers about, sweeping it, keeping it tidy. Stafford Council could learn a lot.
Anyway here’s a pic of a section of it.
