Market Square paving.

It is certainly less unacceptable than the time they weedkilled six inches of a lawn that wasn't theirs and that I had tended for a decade.

In the last 3 weeks they seem to have finished laying the slabs in the centre area and laid the brick road along one side.
So about 3 days of actual work.

... my main reason for posting was to highlight what can be done in a short time by people who get their act together. Unlike the issues around Market Square.
Ah, that was my mistake.

I thought you were contributing to the ongoing onslaught of negativity that has become prevalent here, that bangs on and on that this country in general, and this town in particular, is an irredeemable sh!thole with no redeeming features whatsoever.

Reactive even feels like screaming when they have to return to this circle of Hell.

Some of us have no choice but to live here, and many of us don't even think it's that bad.

14 workmen in action today, although 1 was on his phone, could have been a business call.......

Well almost 2 weeks and the 'pavement' of bricks around the centre are mostly done. Can't see it'll be finished by September/October.

From what I could see yesterday morning they had half of the centre run (for the vehicles) to finish and the walkways in front of the shops. They were even assembling some of the seating when I walked past Santander.

This could have been finished at least 1 month ago if they didn't have to maintain all the walkways etc.

the central brick road was up to outside boots 2 weeks ago, that hasn't changed. the brick paths next to it is all that has been done in the last 2 weeks

I think they have done more in the last 2 days than the previous 2 weeks. The Lloyds corner is done, the brick road outside boots has progressed, some bins and benches have appeared and they digging the old stuff up in the Specsavers corner.

Unbelievable! I hope to hell they don't pay the bill for that pile of #*:[, it will take a hell of a lot of work to get those blocks together correctly. They looked heavy lumps when they were sitting waiting to be placed! 🙄

I haven't seen where these particular blocks have been laid. All I have seen are @Feed The Goat 's nans old patio coloured blocks circa 1979 and generic paving stones which they are doing now. Both of these look to be of a high standard. What do the white marks signify on the shockingly laid bricks above?
