How are you this morning @littleme ?

Hubby is feeling perfectly fine after his . Hasn't even got a sore arm.

Got time to think about mine later today ...Eeeek. Think I preferred the one hours notice for the 1st one .

I'm trying to figure out why there was so much hassle for you guys getting the NHS App onboard. I've had it for a few months and don't remember any problems finding or submitting the bits and pieces they wanted. It is very handy, especially now with bloody medical appointments are creeping out of the woodwork. As for travelling? ... if I never get on another plane again it will be too soon. :P
I've submitted my bits and pieces , don't think they like my face
Don't think I fancy being squashed in a plane or football stadium again .I've been quite happy with all this social distancing .

It may depend upon people's individual existence within 'the system'.

I've had two goes at getting Patient Access to initiate for me.

Both attempts eventually ended when it declared there was some sort of lack of interoperability with the surgery that I'm registered at.

I've never felt strong enough to face the discussions that might be necessary to resolve this.

Is it at the showground? I drove past about 40 minutes ago & there was no activity there. In days when they’re doing jabs there’s usually quite a bit going on with traffic etc.
We’ve got our second jab next Friday at Kingston at 3-30 ish. Sister”s got their”s Saturday at Kingston at after 7-30pm. Looks like they’ve got a night shift on there.

I don't suffer from claustrophobia in terms of tight narrow spaces, hell, I used to go potholing up Derbyshire way. But I get very uncomfortable in large crowds or places tightly packed with people. So yeah, I'm with you on that one.

:o

Yes The showround . 13.12 appointment time. Maybe just doing afternoons then...... (Hope it's open now :hmm: )

When I took hubby up yesterday there wasn't anyone as you drive in directing to the carpark like the first times. I was assuming that was because it's all 2nd jabs, so people know where to go now.

Much better today thank you, & nowhere near as bad as last time. Headache & fever overnight, all gone now & just a bit achy this morning.

Fingers crossed for yours.

Yay been done :)

15 mins recovery inside today.

It was open this morning. Apparently manic as well this morning, still very busy now and carpark much fuller than yesterday. Although saying that , they are all standing waiting for customers now.

The dishy young male jabber doing my line went off for his lunch when it was my turn. Still had a very nice older gentleman jabber though.

Just tried to get into my NHS app again. Message on screen 'We have not checked your I.D. yet .
We will email you when we have finished our checks.
Ref *******

So will have to hang on to see if I officially exist and match my passport photo which , having lost 3 stone recently, looks nothing like my ( angry and p1ssed off by this time) scanned face now.

Has it given you any indication of how it might cope, if you don't have a UK passport or a photo driving licence?

I've got the NHS app but it said my medical records weren't available on line and to contact my GP.

The GP emailed me a list of what looks like sites where I can order repeat prescriptions from and it says I need to register with one of them. Then the email has three sets of numbers a linkage key, an ODS code and an account ID.

I've tried to register with a couple of the sites but there's nothing about online records or using the numbers. The NHS app now crashes and says it's not available every time I open it now.

Any ideas?

Yes. The system and the app are not fit for purpose.

It's starting to look like this is dependent upon how 'invested' in the system your local surgery is.

My surgery seem keen to use it and can't understand what the problem is particularly as I've been using Patient Access for c2 years with no problems.

Strikes me as it is yet another crockoshite software that Boris and his cronies have made a fortune out of and about as much use as track and trace!!!

So far feeling ok after the jab , arm just starting to ache very slightly. If I remember rightly , my arm ached more after a day or so the 1st time.

Hoping if it comes to having boosters later in the year , that I have the choice to book on the National on-line booking system rather than depend on the surgery contacting me.

Just spotted a message from GP surgery that's arrived tonight, Letting me know that I can now access my online account through the NHS App.

BUT....into an old Virgin NtlWorld address that no longer exists since we left Virgin several years ago.. (We can't send from it, but it's still sitting on the laptop page along with the current Hotmail we use and the occasional messages still manage to arrive in it .)

Yet my GP Patient Access on-line account has my correct Hotmail address on it , along with correct phone number. And the NHS App has my correct Hotmail address .

Looks like old data is still lurking in the GP system .

Now wondering if they sent my 2 ' supposedly sent , but not received' Covid vaccine invites to a really old disused mobile number instead as well. (Yet when I rang she quoted the correct phone number) :hmm:
