Let's hope they read your commentary.....shoes said:Cuffy Arnold Clarke
Used these before no problem whatsoever.
Just called up to get a van rental for the weekend. Telephone was answered "Hello?" as if i had called her at home at 11pm.
I had to ask if it was Arnold Clarke I had got through to....."Yeah"
Can I hire a van for the weekend?....."yeah, which one"
I advised I was looking for either the largest high roof transit type or possibly a ford luton type depending on the price. ...."luton?"
I asked to speak with someone who knows about vans, no one available.
Eventually drew prices out from them, and asked about weekend deals "no, daily rate only, we're tight on the vans"
At this point I was unhappy anyway but the prices were obscene compared to affords/enterprise (LWB transit 135.00 at enterprise, all in except diesel and no excess vs. arnold clarke £305 and a £200 deposit for the excess) and mentioned that their prices were so off the mark it was unreal. She told me to rent elsewhere then.
Suffice to say I have just sent an email to the complaints line, although I wouldn't be surprised if that's got a filter on it - straight to trash.
It should be noted I called the 0141 237 4374 number and NOT the stafford branch. I spoke to a scottish lady, so probably nothing to do with the Stafford branch at all.
Used them before, never again.
KwikFit has registered, no input thus far maybe found it too exhausting and being tyred went for a brake?......phildo said:Awful place, they haven't got a clue. Had to take the g/fs car there as they had a promo on the tyres we needed and nowhere else would price match. Sat and watched the lad try and find the tyres on the racks and it looked like he was struggling but he found them and fitted them.speak65 said:Kwik fit - too angry to speak at the moment - will fill you in later.
I walked out to the car and checked the tyres (both fronts). Right brand, right size, different load indexes. Went back in and told the manager and his first reaction was that they'll be fine, you'll not notice. I insisted they switch the tyres but it was as if they weren't remotely bothered that they'd put different tyres on.
' Enterprise' HQ in the USA currently take around $12b per annum......Glam said:I was goin hire a car from Enterprise when I was off the other week, the price was only £146.00 for the week on a Focus. 2 days before I picked it up I re-read the email, they were also going to take a £200 deposit off me at the same time. Just in case they got the car back with a trolley dent or owt like that in it. I went to Afford, where I finally ended up with a Vauxhall Insignia 2ltr for £200 the week. They don't have the Focus on the fleet anymore,so I was told i'd be upgraded to the Meriva, got there on the Weds and it wasn't in,hence the upgrade. Enterprise can go take a running jump,Afford all the time for me now.
Had a car from enterprise last week for three days - on the first day the focus broke (fuel filler had jammed shut) and they replaced it there and then, didn't charge me for the fuel used (1/4 tank) and also marked the replacement as empty (which had almost 1/2 a tank of fuel) for the inconvenience. As they're on my way home from work it wasn't too inconvenient. I gained almost 2 days worth of rental in fuel backGlam said:I was goin hire a car from Enterprise when I was off the other week, the price was only £146.00 for the week on a Focus. 2 days before I picked it up I re-read the email, they were also going to take a £200 deposit off me at the same time. We do try. (btw, it is one word: Westside - the origins of the name are lost in the mists of time, so don't ask).fatfrog said:Cuffy to Kaminski taxis made us really late as failed to pick us up for over half an hour after time...this is the third tine this has happened and there will not be a fourth...they made me late for my own party!
West side were great...there within 10mins
Just hired one of these for the end of the week, how did you find the insignia? Every vauxhall I haver ever driven has made me fall out of love with driving, I'm hoping the insignia is a different story (as I have a 500 mile trip!).Glam said:I was goin hire a car from Enterprise when I was off the other week, the price was only £146.00 for the week on a Focus. 2 days before I picked it up I re-read the email, they were also going to take a £200 deposit off me at the same time.
