Good service from Co-operative Electricals – I brought a Zanussi washing machine from them 18 months ago – it stopped working last week – telephoned Co-op they said get engineers report – got one, he said electrical programming broken - cost of repair 188.00 cost of his call out 26.00. Telephoned co-op they said they would replace and give 212.00 for new machine and reimburse the engineer report costs. Ordered machine yestday its coming on Tues.

I used the Sale of Goods Act 1979 that says that if goods that are not fit for their normal purpose are not of satisfactory quality. I have the right to return them to the seller and get a refund repair or replacement.

Had similar good service from Appliances Online when bosch dishwasher had electrical fault.

I shall defiantly go back to them when I next need to buy electrical goods

Ive used the sales of goods acts a few times too with great results. Only place that didnt want to know was pc world. The manager chris so and so ( forget his second name) just basicly denied everything in it. He was a right jumped up tosser. Basicly told me to get out of the shop or hed call the police after i refused to have the shite repaired and instead wanted another brand and pay any difference.

I got my laptop from Co-op Electricals a few years ago and had good service from them as well.
First one blanked out completely as soon as the Panda Antivirus (which came with their offer) was loaded. Replacement sent out no quibbles and old one picked up next day. The same thing happened to that one as soon as the new Panda disc was inserted . New replacement sent again ,no hassle (Didn't bother loading the Panda that time...yet had bought son exactly the same laptop , along with the free Panda that came with it ,from the Stafford Co-op store and his was ok )

Cuffy to all four Stafford taxi firms who I rang at midday today (Aerobright & Kaminskis were two of them). Not a single one of them could provide a taxi within 30 mins, and the one that could said they couldn't take a couple of plastic storage boxes and some duvets. Boggles the mind how they make any money at all if they never have any taxi's available and won't take passengers possessions :(.

If it won't fit in the boot, you can't carry it in the passenger compartment. Its law apparently. Other things you can't carry include fuel, oils and paint!
It would have fit in the boot had any of the taxi firms enquired rather than just give a blanket no.

The lot of em have bad attitudes in my opinion. They cant get you off the phone quick enough, it always feels like youre inconveniencing them when ive rang various stafford companies for a taxi (Thankfully very infrequently)The mrs rang up for one about 2 weeks ago and the woman who answered acted liked she'd shit in her cereal and basicly put the phone down on her for enquiring about a 7 seater. Why are the call takers always such mard arses?
