Gigs at Bingley Hall.

Didn't Pink Floyd do a gig there ? ... I was in a bit of a blur in the 70's and early 80's (usually only home on leave, so a bit out of control.)

Saw Abba before I got married in 78 so probably about 1977ish. Saw The Who in about 1975 with my mates from Penkridge. We also saw Hot Chocolate but that might have been at the Top of the World. Me and the girlfriend, now the wife, were big Abba fans so bought the best tickets we could afford but when we got there the expensive seats were right at the back but tiered so you could at least see the stage with binoculars. Problem was we didn't have binoculars so like everyone else at the back we ran to the front to get a better view. Happy days

I was there in Top of the world when Hot Chocolate were there. I was right by the stage and they had the music so loud that several people by the speakers were passing out. Falling down like flies. My main memory of the night , as well as being so close to Hot Chocolate .
( Along with memories of one of The Four Tops grabbing my hand , as we sat on a front table next to the stage in Jollie's in Stoke, during singing 'Reach out' )
