Well those bad eggs are having another drama today. 2 police cars and a paramedic car and enough F's to make Harvey Keitel blush. All before 10:30am. I feel for the folks a couple of doors up from me trying to sell their house.

Wonder how that compares if you take a regional average of salary? Utter shite, first time buyers on average salaries for their local area cannot afford to buy a house without help from a parent/partner/Gov initiative.

it's funny reading through this thread now, since i am now a "first time buyer" and about to move into my first house in ~6 weeks! clearly the worries i had back in 2009 when i made the original post were all for nothing

Just looked again at that flat. Its overpriced by about 10k I'd have said, but it states cost as £111,400 and £440 a month payments. This makes it look like about 1.5% interest if its over 25 years? If I didn't have a place I'd be seriously interested in this, gotta be a catch.

The selling agents address is Green Lanes, N4. I think that tells you enough. If you know North London you would be away that N4 is populated with Greeks and Cypriots. There are many dodgy Greek premises which front as businesses but have all kinds of strange activity taking place in the back rooms.
