Cos he's the figurehead of one of (if not the) wealthiest institutions on the planet? Hell, if I had one of the best art collections in the world and a solid gold shitter, I'd do my best to convince people to keep giving me more cash too. Once the game is up they'd have to get real jobs.
Yeah fair point. Doesn't answer why people take him seriously though, just why he tries to convince them to take him seriously.

The general public are so gullable, stupid and easy to control, I'm not suprised God god Noah to build and ark so that he could shake his dirty etch-a-sketch and start afresh. Allegedly.

They got off really really lightly too. As I'm sure the two of them with previous did err... previously.

They should be made to work the shittiest jobs imaginable for pittance until they have repaid off all £50k or whatever it was to the company they broke into. And then serve a few years behind bars as a reminder.

The BBC said:
British pop star Dave Dee has died at the age of 65, following a three-year battle with cancer.

The singer continued playing gigs with band members Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich until close to the end of his life, record plugger Sean Cooney said.

"He didn't let it get him down. He was defying it," Mr Cooney added.

The group had eight top 10 hits ...
is it me, or does it not mention the group he was in in that whole article? the above reads as if the author intended to include it in the opening paragraph, then just forgot.. i have no idea who he is..
