Thanks for the comments, much appreciated.
Remember its a pub crawl, its not haphazard, walk from one pub to the next.
The Newsletter guide would be OK for a map.
Volume 2 is virtually complete, just a few bits of info required then I can look towards signing another contract with the publisher, should be looking at availability in late spring.

Odd question, but if this has been 9 years in the making possibly relevant. Did you, around 6-7 years ago, have a computer issue that involved taking your PC to JC Computing on Eastgate street for a full wipe/reinstall? I remember someone rather worried about their data, that was predominately on historical pubs in Stafford. Its a long time ago but that job did stick in my head.

EDIT: Even odder I am now convinced I have asked this before, my brain nowadays is nowhere near as coherent as it once was!

Yes that be me.
Spent a few bob in there until I had a customer service issue a couple of years ago. So PC World has a couple of grand that JC doesn't.

I'm surprised that you used to work for JC computing, as you come across as someone who knows what they are doing IT wise.

Not available until 1 December it says.

Alternatively you could get it straight away, support a local author and fellow forumite without going through a middleman and get your copy personalised by buying it direct from John.

I cannot comment post or pre my employment, but iirc I was there roughly from summer 2005 to summer 2007 and we knew what we were doing. I wasn't really front of house though, we stayed out back unless needed. Interesting fact, by the end of my employment I spent more time backing up files than fixing computers. I swear it went from 5 mins per PC to half an hour almost instantly when broadband kicked off. It was amazing how much porn some people were scared to lose!

Not sure I get this, why can amazon choose to sell something at a loss to the author? Surely they buy in at a set price that ensures a profit then charge what they wish? You don't have to let them sell it, and to do so at a loss seems insane. You'd be better of putting it on the pirate bay yourself!
