Disappointed to see no mention of this promotion or Stafford Forum in the local press this week, as was promised to me by the marketing representative working for Malabar. :(

Oh well, at least Malabar got some bookings out of it.

With response to this, Firstly we apologise, the press release which was written by a collegeue was sent out to the newspapers who decided on whether they were going to put this in.

I can assure you that when the the cheque is presented, that stafford forum does get a mention and sincerly apologise for any inconvience or upset this has caused.

"I love Malabar because you arrive hungry and leave happy."

That statement was a great sentance to describe your experience. Keeping customers happy is our main focus point.

Thank you to all who entered this competition.

Was the press release written by the same colleague who originally pitched the idea to Stafford Forum, do you know?

I'm just a little disappointed, because I feel a little bit like I personally have been used to legitimise what might otherwise be considered spam.

Other local businesses have been lambasted in the past for signing up then immediately posting an advert/promotion, but this one specifically had my blessing so everyone jumped onboard. I was expecting to see a "New Menu!" style promotion in the local press, with a competition, and the only way to enter it was to sign-up to Stafford Forum, but no such thing transpired.

Also, a few Forumites have PMed me to complain that they didn't realise multiple entries were allowed, and it's a bit unfair that the winner had 3 attempts. This is not Mrs M's fault, there was nothing in the rules saying multiple entries weren't allowed, but it is usually an implicit rule.

Basically, the whole thing wasn't co-ordinated very well, and was a missed opportunity to promote Stafford Forum while making everyone happy. Now it just feels a bit like a cheap grab for some free publicity by a business who couldn't even be bothered to sign-up themselves, and had to get a "marketing representative" in instead. :(

Just to confirm here, next Monday and Tuesday will be all you can eat for £12.95?
Will you be doing smaller portions to allow people to try the new menu, or will it be help yourself style? I think I may have to come down for this, I'm due a curry!

Hello,,

Its 12.95 all you can eat, starters, mains and sundries. You can order what ever tickles your fancy of the menu
Hmmm...this morning I spoke to someone who went to last night's 'all you can eat' deal @ Malabar. She said that it's a set starter, then you can choose a main and a side dish...

Whilst £12.95 is a good price for starter/main/side it certainly doesn't sound like the 'come and sample any dishes from our new menu' offer as described and confirmed above!

Eh? Is this right Malabar? If so I'm off to Karma II instead, cos theirs is £11.95 but you choose the starter too.
