Does he? I'll have a word with the big sister, see if she knows where he lives. She's been there over 30 odd years now.
I think it's 'near' Eccleshall rather than right in, but he and his wife and kiddie (s? Forget if it's one or 2) cone in a few times a year....

Saved the day for son & GF planned xmas day brekkie which involves 2 eggs... his search of Worcester after work tonight met with bare egg shelves everywhere, good old mum to the rescue with a couple from my fridge :D

He'd already planned to bring me some of the white cobs , from his click & collect , that I failed to find today as the shelves were stripped bare by 9am. :o

Got things easier during lockdown !

Don't store your eggs in the fridge; the go off more quickly. Ignore the use by date too and use the water trick.

Thanks , I didn't realise that about the eggs in the fridge . I don't bother with the date on the box , a Bednall farmshop worker told me when they had some reduced , that they're only allowed to put a certain time frame on the box but ok well past that. They don't last long in our house though , I love my poached egg on toast.
(Wondering whether sons GF is cooking him sort of portuguese xmas breakfast for them with the eggs. Her family have a special meal on christmas eve, and she's having that with her house mate tonight . (Made a note not to go over to visit the future in-laws at christmas....salted cod isn't quite my thing 😂 )

Well , unwrapped the expensive jumper that hubby had been (loud ) whispering to the M&S assistant , while I was still inside the changing room and handed back to him as he said he didn't like it , to pretend to put back on rail then take it to the till for him to buy secretly for me. Pissing about so much doing all that , paying in half cash and half card so that I wouldn't suss out the transaction on the bank statement, that I still can't wear it as planned today.......... unwrapped it to find the security tag still attached!:blah:😭 How can you not notice that stuck on the outside???🤬

Not a good start to the day , especially as you can barely read the feint and crumpled up receipt!

I'll just be eating , drinking half a glass of champers with the dinner and staying sober this year. Son has now got to be up at 4am in the morning to be at work to open up and take in the 5am delivery due , so I'll be driving.

After a great Christmas day , having a good (sober) laugh playing cluedo & ludo, getting to also enjoy boxing day evening with son & girlfriend .
Got to practice a couple of portuguese words during a video call from GF family as well. 😁
(With 50+ close knit relatives :o it's going to be rather lop-sided at any future wedding, with just me & hubby as sons only family ,along with a couple of his mates on our side. 😂 )

Best of all , my Xmas day meal went down well , with comments " Wow, this even better than Toby carverys" :D
