Thanks , I didn't realise that about the eggs in the fridge . I don't bother with the date on the box , a Bednall farmshop worker told me when they had some reduced , that they're only allowed to put a certain time frame on the box but ok well past that. They don't last long in our house though , I love my poached egg on toast.Don't store your eggs in the fridge; the go off more quickly. Ignore the use by date too and use the water trick.

Forum long weekend in Portugal anyone?(With 50+ close knit relatives it's going to be rather lop-sided at any future wedding, with just me & hubby as sons only family ,along with a couple of his mates on our side. )
