Asking as I've been in touch with Hillcrest (Damira) today, and I've expired as a patient... They're not taking on new NHS customers...Same as @littleme
I used to go to Hillcrest, I am terrified of dentists, but that very easy on the eye Sikh gentleman made me ''less nervous'', I even had a tooth out, 10 years of pain gone!
The one opposite the Police station is vile, More Sweeney Todd than Dewhursts butchers to be honest.
Could really do with a nice one that's taking on NHS patients asap.
Nowhere is taking on NHS patients.... Even Central clinic had no suggestions, apart from ring the emergency number & you may get an appt in either Lichfield or cannock next week.Asking as I've been in touch with Hillcrest (Damira) today, and I've expired as a patient... Anyone know of anywhere taking on NHS? My only stipulation is NOT the one opposite the police station (absolute butchers).
Church Lane dental were amazing, I was in at 4pm, check up, xrays, the choice of either a *root canal or extraction, extraction done & I was out by 4.20pm.Yeah, my wife needs somewhere too, but like you say nowhere taking on.
havent the wardens clocked off by nowOh look, here I am needing to pop into Sainsbury’s with literally no way to park there as I have no coins.
Is there actually any plan to fix that? Or do they just want to never get any footfall at Sainsbury’s now?
It's not Sainsburys car park, it's the councils.... Do they ever fix anything?Oh look, here I am needing to pop into Sainsbury’s with literally no way to park there as I have no coins.

Very true, but they are actively sabotaging businesses at this pointIt's not Sainsburys car park, it's the councils.... Do they ever fix anything?

The wardens can be pretty random right now, we've seen them earlier than we thought they should start, later than they used to work, and even on a Sunday.Very true, but they are actively sabotaging businesses at this point
Not taking any risks with that lot, it’s paid after hours and my lease company will pay it without a second thought if I did get a ticket… and then bill me plus an admin fee
The issue isn’t the cost, it’s that unless I’ve actually planned to go to Sainsbury’s and have a quid free (don’t get me started on that £1.10 one…) I can’t park there as I have no way to pay for the parking. The wardens can be pretty random right now, we've seen them earlier than we thought they should start, later than they used to work, and even on a Sunday.
It's a quid after 6pm - 8am, same all day Sunday... Daytine £1.10 for an hour or £1.70 for 2hrs. And if you ask the especially nice staff & tell them you've been to Argos they should give you the money back. Argos should also refund your parking if collecting it returning anything there.
Agreed, I bit the bullet, took outThe issue isn’t the cost, it’s that unless I’ve actually planned to go to Sainsbury’s and have a quid free (don’t get me started on that £1.10 one…) I can’t park there as I have no way to pay for the parking.
It’s 2022, my wallet hasn’t seen any change in literally years
Easy peasy, just keep some loose change in your car. It's not difficult. Coinage is freely available. The issue isn’t the cost, it’s that unless I’ve actually planned to go to Sainsbury’s and have a quid free (don’t get me started on that £1.10 one…) I can’t park there as I have no way to pay for the parking.

I'm lucky that we have free parking at work, visitors have to put their registration into an ipad or they get a hefty fine. This scheme was introduced because residents along Corporation Street would leave their cars parked up in the grounds, even though they had perfectly good parking spaces at the back of their homes. They also have spaces outside the front of their homes they can use too.Agreed, I bit the bullet, took out
some cash, £1.70* lives in my car, the rest I keep as we still have random collections at work....
£1.70 for council car parks, I'm lucky enough to have free town centre parking with my job.
My old neighbour was booted off their NHS list as well. After not being able to get an appointment during covid closures, was then told she hadn't been often enough to stay on their NHS list , when she needed emergency treatment and cost her a fortune to have treatment then.Asking as I've been in touch with Hillcrest (Damira) today, and I've expired as a patient... Yes, it's everywhere. Nowhere accepting NHS patients. My old neighbour was booted off their NHS list as well. I'm still registered with my friars terrace dentist , he said it's not like doctors where you have to go local, and said I could travel to stay with them NHS.
But too far in today's traffic , so looked at registering in Worcester..... only private , no-one accepting NHS.
Bugger my tooth broke, have opted for a crown and root canal given my history of teethChurch Lane dental were amazing, I was in at 4pm, check up, xrays, the choice of either a *root canal or extraction, extraction done & I was out by 4.20pm.
Dentist Raj was lovely, extraction literally only took 3 mins in total. Well worth the £140.00 & I'm really glad I had that option.
(*I didn't want a root canal as this tooth had previously had a huge filling, and having worked as a dental nurse previously I know just how painful root canals are & how many people have problems after.)
I'm not that brave, stories I've seen/heard. It's a back tooth got me so not visible..... I've paid more at the vets!Bugger my tooth broke, have opted for a crown and root canal given my history of teeth
