In one working week, I have been hit (by different patients) 3 times with walking sticks, slapped round the face, had my hair pulled, spat at, been called a few personal names, had a full cup of hot tea chucked at me earlier this afternoon and kicked.
I wouldn't swop my job for any other tho.

Just watched the documentary programme on Heathrow Airport. An engineer said that he used to enjoy flying , until he became an aircraft engineer "But now I know that the nuts and bolts do fall off......." :o Always had that in the back of my mind, but didn't really want to be reminded of it when I'm soon to be 30,000 ft high.

Few of the more recent airliner crashes have been anything to do with the plane itself.....

Son is flying Lufthansa to Japan . He has passed all his swimming levels (although only to 1 mile )
Pretty sure he could master a 13.000 mile swim if he really tried :D
