No post for a while? Royal mail Stafford problems?

There seems to be a theme here, I'm worried as things I posted from greengage street on the 1st Dec are yet to arrive with their buyers and items I've ordered are not here either over 13 parcels! Either there are cages piled up or someone is on the take

I'm calling up today, if you all do the same and then we could compare information

Poor service royal mail

Parcels always go missing at Christmas, never send anything other than trackable if you want it to arrive!

That's the thing all the parcels sent and awaiting delivery were recorded!

I just opened my postbox, (haven't checked since saturday) expecting maybe 2 or 3 letters and there were 13! Maybe they are getting back on track?!

Where does it say they are? Did you pay for a specified timeframe?
Yup I paid for 1st and 2nd class delivery for the parcels I'm waiting for and the ones I sent, postman just gone past nothing delivered :)

Even my internal mail is running late!
Infernal mail even :D

I bought a few things a couple weeks ago and all but one have turned up - the one I ordered first typically. Hopefully this will get here soon, it's one of the kids presents. Hoping that things are catching up though if Vicky got all that mail in one whack!

It occurs to me that I ( think that I ) did see Royal Mail deliveries occurring last Sunday morning...

We have the same problem, parcels not arrived that we have posted out - sent nearly two weeks ago to buyers who as luck would have it arent very understanding and have no idea as to how the postal system actually works (when it is working). Two have asked us to track Royal mail standard first class! I feel negatives or neutrals coming on, and why is it always the most expensive parcels that go missing. I know we can claim from RM - and we always do - but it's far too long before they allow you to claim. Also the fact they withdrew Special Delivery on 1st December speaks volumes.

The feedback from the sorting office manager was the 13 parcels are probably lost, absolutly useless. The lost parcels were blamed on the snow! Obviously good cover for parcel stealing polar bears!

When I asked about the sent parcels I was told the same!

I'm honestly list for words.

RM have no computer systems to track these parcels if not delivered, they all get written in a book so unless you know the delivery date its hard to find out where they've gone. What does your tracking info say?

3 letters received today:
1 posted 2nd class in Stafford on 29 November - 16 days
1 posted 1st class in London on 5 December - 9 days
1 posted 2nd class in Glasgow on 9 December - 5 days

So The Hawk's theory of postal services reads "The delivery time is in inverse proportion to the distance travelled, multiplied by the square root of the class paid for, divided by the number of spokes on the postman/woman's bicycle"

I'll now test this theory and see if I need to factor in the average snow depth :snowman: , and refine it accordingly.

Time for my medication :pint: .

This is the tracking number of a parcel I posted

AH 0926 70928 GB

And one I'm waiting for

AH 5514 11777 GB

Both say in the network
Useless :(

In my experience, when the tracking info says progressing through the network, they never turn up :(
I understand that deliveries might be difficult due to the snow, what I cant accept is that the backlog of parcels disappears into a black hole. We may get compensation for our items sent out but we won't get compensation for any bad feedback left on Ebay!

They have to go somewhere, they must be stolen as otherwise (like I've stated many times) there would be a MASSIVE warehouse somewhere to keep them all in. I'm thinking Raiders of the Lost Ark stylee.
