Proposed Change of Use - Stafford Court, Beaconside.

I've missed something with this 'charity'...
As soon as the asylum centre was confirmed they made a big thing about having to move because it's not safe for their staff to be on Beaconside anymore. They will only help refugees that the government specifically allow to enter to claim asylum, which is a very narrow racial profile applied to very few countries. Hysterically they list Syria as OK, even though they make up a large portion of the people in the boats!

What's the connection between the charity and this protest? Were they involved with organising it?
It's more the amplification of their message on social media and within the press. The message that in effect those people are not welcome here. That allows the far right an excuse that they are standing up for the people of Stafford. These are not people from the town, they are mobs that look for dissent, for negativity, for specific court cases. If someone who matches their message has a voice, birds of a feather flock together. That's not to say the protest wasn't organised by representatives from the charity, potentially it could have been, but it doesn't take much to look through social media for anti immigrant views attached to refugees and believe that your white lives matter message would be welcomed.

This has all passed me by. I hurt my back earlier this year so have not been going that far from base but that protest actually wasn't that far from where I live without stating any exact locality. The n and b keys on my laptop aren't working and my plug-in keyboard is past it so apologies for any weird spellings if online keyboard hasn't worked and I've not realised.
